Popular Sovereignty- The right to rule a country by a leader voted to power by the people.
Federalism- A government that combines states powers and gives those states some power.
Separation of Powers- The act of sharing powers to the three branches of government.
Checks and Balances- The type of government where all branches movements are constantly being approved by each other and is meant to be a system where no branch or individual is too powerful.
Judicial Review- When the supreme court decides if a law trying to be passed is constitutional or not.
Limited Government- A form of government where it is limited by its people and powers spread out.
Elastic Clause- A section in the Constitution giving congress the power to pass laws given to them in the constitution.
